Terms of Use
These terms are provided by the FloraBase team and describe how the platform currently operates. They are not legal advice; we may update them as FloraBase grows.
1. What FloraBase is
FloraBase is a marketplace that connects plant buyers with independent Nigerian nurseries and garden vendors, plus care tools such as FloraDoctor AI and the plant tracker. FloraBase does not grow, own, or ship the plants listed — vendors do.
2. Accounts
You need an account to order, list plants, or save a garden. Use one account per email address, keep your login details private, and give accurate information. You are responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend accounts used for fraud, spam, or abuse.
3. Buying
Prices are shown in Naira and set by each vendor. When you place an order you agree to the vendor's price, delivery estimate, and location details you provide at checkout. Living plants vary in size and form; small differences from photos are normal. If an order arrives damaged or is not delivered, contact us and we will work with the vendor to resolve it.
4. Selling as a nursery
Vendors are responsible for listing accuracy, stock levels, packaging, and dispatch. Verified badges are granted after we review your nursery details and may be removed if standards slip. FloraBase charges a per-order commission and optional subscription or promotion fees, shown before you commit.
5. Payments
Payments are processed by our payment partner. FloraBase does not store your card details. While the platform is in pre-launch, checkout may be paused and orders collected through the waitlist instead.
6. FloraDoctor AI
FloraDoctor gives automated guidance based on the photo and details you share. It is a helpful second opinion, not a guaranteed diagnosis. Always test treatments carefully and follow product instructions — especially with pesticides and fertilisers.
7. Acceptable use
Do not upload unlawful content, misrepresent plants, scrape the platform, attempt to break its security, or post reviews you did not earn through a real purchase.
8. Liability
FloraBase is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to the platform is limited to the amount you paid through FloraBase for the order in question.
